Announcing my new role at the Continuous Delivery Foundation

I’m thrilled to announce that I’m starting a new role today as the Executive Director of the Continuous Delivery Foundation.

2+ years ago I joined CloudBees, to lead the open source community team and to ensure the Jenkins community continues to grow and thrive. The pinnacle of my time there was making the Continuous Delivery Foundation happen. It was an amazing rollercoaster: taking CDF from a concept spawned by R Tyler Croy & KK to a reality as the new home of Jenkins, Jenkins X, Spinnaker & Tekton.

CloudBees was a great place to work and I learnt a lot from some of the best in the industry. Sacha Labourey created an environment that helped me grow in confidence and take on increasingly bigger challenges. I went from being relatively new in the DevOps space to making lists like ‘DevOps 100‘. I will be forever grateful for the opportunities there and the great folks I got to know and work with.

Earlier this year when I took on the board chair role for CDF and had the chance to speak 1-2-1 with all the board members and key community members. Each one’s enthusiasm for CDF matched my own and I got excited about working even more closely with those folks to bring all our ideas to life. When the opportunity came up to take on the exec director role I simply couldn’t pass it up.

With any job, the people you get to work with and learn from are key. During the CDF launch I got to work closely with Chris Aniszczyk and I look forward to learning even more from someone who has scaled open source in incredible ways with the Cloud Native Computing Foundation and other initiatives. I also look forward to getting to know and learn from the many other amazing folks at the Linux Foundation.

I would have never thought that a pandemic was a good time to change jobs until I had the ultimate opportunity staring me in the face. The mission of the Continuous Delivery Foundation is to improve the world’s capacity to deliver software with security & speed. CDF has an amazing open source community that is only going to get bigger and better. Let’s do this.
